Malden Man Fell Asleep On Orange Line With Loaded Gun: Police

Kamil Mogielnicki had a semi-automatic handgun in his waistband when officers found him asleep at the Forest Hills stop, police said.

MALDEN, MA — A Malden man was found asleep on an Orange Line train with a loaded gun in his pants, transit police said.

Kamil Mogielnicki, 37, was arrested on drug- and gun-related charges after he was found by officers at the Forest Hills stop, police said.

Around 7:15 p.m. Thursday, officers responded to a report of a man with a gun on the train. Police said they found Mogielnicki "sound asleep" with a black semi-automatic handgun in his waistband.

Officers removed the gun, a 9mm Ruger with a fully loaded magazine, and woke Mogielnicki up, police said. He was arrested after officers found he did not have a license for the gun, police said.

While Mogielnicki was in custody, officers found drugs on him that were "packaged in a way consistent for resale," police said.
