We are excited to invite Malden Public Schools middle school students to participate in the 2022 Mini Writers’ Den after-school program. Students who participated in the Mini Writers’ Den in the past told us it was awesome, and they couldn’t wait for each week! Here’s a sample of what students wrote about during the 2018 Mini Writers’ Den.

Students will have the opportunity to have fun with creative writing, meet other Malden students and participate in themed programs. As an example, in the comic book writing session, we will discuss the elements that make comic books, graphic novels, and manga so awesome, interview an aspiring comic book writer – and brainstorm, write, and draw!

In addition to the dates above, students and their families are invited to a culminating event on June 3, at 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Malden High School. Transportation will be provided for the students to Malden High and home afterwards if needed.
