MALDEN, MA – Malden Police are asking drivers to expect travel delays and to seek alternate routes on their morning commute after a water main break on Monday.

The water main break occurred at the intersection of Russell Street and Charles Street around 7:25 a.m., police said.

A photo of the water main break shared by Malden Police on Twitter shows a gaping hole in the street full of brown, murky water. The water main break appears to have occurred in front of a residential home, according to the photo.
