The Holiday Season Is Hitting Somerville's Assembly Row

Numerous events for people of all ages are planned between now and the new year.

SOMERVILLE, MA — Assembly Row is launching some new events for the 2025 holiday season.

Locals can find their ideal tree with the North Pole Christmas Trees pop-up store that will be open between Saturday, Nov. 22 and Wednesday, Dec. 24. In addition to trees, wreaths and other decorations will also be for sale.

Professional photos with Santa Claus will be available in Santa’s Shed beginning on Friday, Nov. 28 and will also run through Christmas Eve. The program is made possible through a partnership with Reeds Ferry Sheds and The Santa People.

Weekend festivities are headlined by “Crafts, Cocoa, and Christmas Cheer” where families can be treated to free hot chocolate while they enjoy craft projects and live music from a diverse group of local artists.

People will want to dive deep into their closets for the Ugly Sweater Crawl on Thursday, Dec. 11. The crawl’s itinerary includes visits to Civility Social House, Cocolee, Legal Sea Foods, Parla XXI, Posto, Salt + Stone, Smoke Shop BBQ, Toca Chida Casa Sociale, and Tony C’s.

The Giving Tree’s Cradles To Crayons gift donations are available for generous parties to take on beginning on Nov. 28. Multiple drop-off locations will be scattered around the plaza including at Caffe Nero, J.P. Licks, Adidas, Athleta, Columbia Factory Store, and the Puma outlet.
