Residents Displaced By Somerville House Fire
The home broke out in flames on Sunday afternoon.
SOMERVILLE, MA — Four residents of a home in the vicinity of Teele Square have been displaced after a fire broke out Sunday afternoon, according to the Somerville Fire Department.
Crews responded to the home at 30 Newbury St. to find heavy smoke emitting from the second and third floors. All four residents were safely evacuated without injury. Walls, ceiling, and roof of the home need to be opened in order to extinguish the blaze. Traffic was diverted from Holland Street to Broadway while the five engines that responded to the incident worked to put out the flames.\
