Star Student Athlete: Meet Jordan Leidinger

SOMERVILLE, MA — We all know student athletes who also bring their A-game to other parts of their lives.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. We're working to let all your neighbors know the individual stories behind the leaderboard.

This submission comes from Colette White who nominated Jordan Leidinger of Somerville. Leidinger is a basketball player who has overcome many obstacles, but has helped others deal with similar challenges.

Jordan has overcome many obstacles put in his way by family problems from his past. He has learned many lessons about overcoming adversity and using what he learned to better his situation and help others learn to deal with family problems they may have to face.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star student athlete?

He is kind and caring and always looks to help someone younger and more vulnerable. He is a great teacher and enjoys helping kids become better students and athletes
