Choose the Best Bumper Sticker to Show Your Watertown Pride

AlphaGraphics of Watertown seeks votes from Watertown residents, and will give out free bumper stickers.

A local business owner wants to help residents show off their Watertown Pride, and he seeks their help choosing the design for the bumper stickers.

John McDermott, owner of AlphaGraphics Watertown, wanted to do something after the chaos caused by the search and shootouts with the Boston Marathon Bombing suspects in his hometown.

He plans to give away a free bumper sticker to everyone who votes in the Facebook poll to choose which design to use. The stickers will say "Watertown 02472: Strong Since 1630."

"My family printing business has been in Watertown since 1959 and we've watched first-hand the changes in our amazing town. The 'Strong Since 1630' tag is just a reminder of our long history, our dedication to community, and of course our strength," McDermott said. "Times have been tough, but Watertown will thrive amid the turbulence with grace and resolve."

The two designs can be seen in the photos on the right side of this article and people can vote for them by going to the AlphaGraphics Watertown Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/AlphaGraphicsWatertown?ref=hl

To vote you must "Like" the AlphaGraphics page. Voting will continue for about a week, McDermott said.

Everyone who votes in the poll can get one free sticker, McDermott said.

"Anyone that casts a vote will be able to either stop by the center and pick one up, or if they provide their address, we will mail it to them also at no cost," McDermott said.

The sticker is just the first promotion that McDermott has planned.

"I want this "campaign" to be the first of many that allows us to give something back to the town that has given my family so much," McDermott said.
