• Save The Date: Registration for Pequossette Summer Program Watertown Opens Jan. 1 (watertownmanews.com) — Families in Watertown can start registering today, Jan. 1, for the 2026 Pequossette Summer Program, which features extended camp hours and a new registration system. Resident and non-resident registration dates, deposit amounts, and key program changes are laid out so parents can plan ahead before spots fill up.
   

• Nine restaurants in eastern Mass. that shut down during December (wickedlocal.com) — A longtime Watertown favorite, China Rainbow on North Beacon Street has closed after more than 50 years in business, with the owner thanking loyal customers for decades of support.
