Police, Local Businesses Introduce Their Own 'Watertown Strong' T-Shirts
Procedes from the sale will go to a foundation to be set up soon.
You can show your pride in the Watertown Police Department's role in the elimination and capture of the Boston Marathon Bombers by purchasing a "Watertown Strong" T-Shirt.
Police teamed up with local businesses to produce the shirt and will soon create a foundation where proceeds will be directed, said Anne-Marie Aigner, president of Aigner/Prensky Marketing.

Aigner lives in Watertown, and heard the gunshots from both shootouts. She wanted to find a way to thank the Watertown Police.
"I’ve never been prouder to live in a community than I was and have been this last week," Aigner said. "(The Watertown Police) were the first on the scene at both shootouts. They have been the bravest and overwhelmingly impressive."

She and others felt there was a need and that they could help the WPD.
"Someone happened to hear (Watertown Police Chief Edward Deveau) say 'Wouldn’t it be great to have a T-shirt?' - so we put it together," Aigner said.
Aigner/Prensky teamed up with the Police Department, T.R. Miller Co., Three Twins Productions, SanMar, NES Clothing Co. and Wired Blue to put together the T-shirt.
The shirts are navy blue, with "Watertown Strong" in white letters, and the "O" in Strong is replaced by the patch worn by Watertown Police officers.
The proceeds from sales will go to a yet-to-be created foundation, Aigner said. For now, they will go to the Watertown Police Department and be transferred to the foundation when it is created.
"We are hoping people, not only in Watertown and the Boston area but around the country and the world, will buy the T-shirts and support the Watertown Police," Aigner said.
