Shoplifter Hid Hundreds Worth of Merchandise Under His Jacket
Watertown Police arrested a Dorchester man with items from both Target and Best Buy.

A Dorchester man had a shopping spree but put his items under his jacket rather than paying and he was caught by store security at Target in Watertown.
On March 20 at 8:01 p.m., police went to the store after the suspect was caught allegedly trying to steal numerous items, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn.

"Security observed a male enter the store, take a Jawbone music box valued at $299.99 placed it the under jacket and exit the store," Lawn said. "They found other items under his jacket - two pairs of Dr. Dre Beats Headphones worth $299.99."
Police discovered that the headphones came from Best Buy, Lawn said.

Eric R. Dalton, 35, of 399 Centre St. Apt. 3 in Dorchester, was arrested on charges of shoplifting of more than $100 and larceny of over $250, Lawn said.
