Watertown Adds Day of School on Good Friday

The half-day will be held due to the snow day on Tuesday.

Watertown students will be in class on Good Friday - a day not originally on the school calendar - because of this week's snow day.

Thursday afternoon, Superintendent Jean Fitzgerald officially announced the extra day of school on Friday, March 29. Tuesday's snow day was the sixth for Watertown this year, and school officials had to add another day into the schedule to meet the 180 days of school required by the state.

The day will be a half-day of school, with the following dismissal times:

  • Cunniff, Hosmer and Lowell schools - 12:15 p.m
  • Watertown Middle School - 11:45 a.m. 
  • Watertown High School - noon

There wil be no after school programs that day.
