After first calling for a delay, Watertown School officials have now closed schools on Friday due to the snowfall.
The school closing was announced on the WBZ-TV school closing list, and also appears on other lists of closings.
Snowfall was heavier than some predicted. At least 6 inches has fallen in Watertown, with drifts of up to a foot according to measurements with the unofficial Patch snow yard stick.
