Wet Weather Rolls into Watertown, Closes Grass Fields

The rain will stick around for the rest of Friday.

 

Rain rolled into Watertown shortly before noon and will likely stick around until after midnight. 

With the chilly temperatures, the National Weather Service forecast calls for possible sleet between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. The rain is supposed to end by 1 a.m. Saturday.

The weekend forecast looks much nicer, with sun and temps in the 50s. 

The wet weather has closed the grass fields around Watertown on Friday. All programs planned for those spots will be cancelled, said Recreation Director Peter Centola.
