200 Volunteers Needed For Dune Grass Planting At Island Beach

Event will run from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2

ISLAND BEACH STATE PARK, NJ - Want to help protect the dunes at Island Beach State Park from Nor'easters, storms and storm surges?

Then come to the Ocean Beach 1 bathing pavilion at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2 to help plant dune grass in various areas of the park. The event is hosted by the Friends of Island Beach State Park.

You will be assigned to a specific area of the park. Please bring a pole or a shovel. Please register if you can.
