Beachwood Crash Causes Power Outages Sunday Night
Crash puts a crimp in Santa's appearance in Town Hall
BEACHWOOD, NJ - The power went out and so did the lights on the Town Hall Christmas Tree after a car crashed into a utility pole on Double Trouble Road Sunday night.
The utility pole snapped in half and fell into some trees near Birch Street, according to a post on the Beachwood Volunteer Fire Department Facebook page.
Santa had just arrived by fire truck, the Christmas tree was lit and power went out in the area, the post states.

The driver was treated for minor injuries by the Beachwood First Aid Squad. Crews from Jersey Central Power & Light responded to repair the pole and restore power.
Beachwood police are investigating the crash.
