Beachwood, Ocean Gate Celebrate Arbor Day With Seedling Giveaway
Beachwood and Ocean Gate will give out seedlings so residents can plant their own trees in celebration of Arbor Day.
BEACHWOOD, NJ — As Arbor Day approaches, towns across the state are giving out new seedlings to celebrate.
New Jersey observes Arbor Day on the last Friday in April, which this year is April 30.
Ocean Gate will distribute seedlings on Saturday at the post office from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. The post office is located at 450 Ocean Gate Ave.

Seedlings can also be picked up on Arbor Day at Beachwood’s Mayo Park Center from 5-7 p.m.
The giveaway is part of New Jersey's Tree Recovery Campaign, which aims to replace trees damaged or destroyed during Superstorm Sandy.
