A Letter To The Editor From John Morringello

Let me first state the obvious. It's not easy to run as a Democrat in Point Pleasant Beach. I should know, as I've done it twice.

Yet I'm still convinced that the good people of our town are willing to vote the person, and not the party. They know one- party government is bad for our, or any town. They know all of the good people aren't on one side of the political aisle. And they want people representing them who have no other agenda than to serve the residents of our town, and serve them well.

That's why I'm so enthused about lending my support to our current Democratic candidates, Don Rodgers and Russ Kelly. I am so impressed by the spirit and commitment these two men have shown as they've embarked on their very sincere effort to be your representatives on our Council.

Their agenda is clear: to make our town the best that it can be; to make sure even the smallest voice is heard; and to seek out whatever assistance is available from the county, state and federal governments that will benefit our town.

I'm asking that you support the Row A candidates of Don Rodgers and Russ Kelly for one other reason: they're for the people and of the people. Nothing is more important than that.
