The New Pies Place Pays Tribute To Bayville’s History
Pies Place will celebrate its first weekend in business by offering one free plain slice to each customer on Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m.

BAYVILLE, NJ — The name Pies Place may sound familiar to longtime Bayville residents. That was the name of the first pizzeria in Bayville on the corner of Route 9 and Harbor Inn Road.
Now the newest pizzeria to set down roots in Bayville has been named after the original Pies Place.
The throwback name was suggested by one of the town’s own residents, according to Pies Place's manager Chris Petrich.

“We actually opened it up to the residents of Bayville to decide,” said Petrich. “We posted it on Facebook and it instantly took off. Over 100 names were submitted. We saw Pies Place and instantly knew that was the one.”
Paying tribute to Bayville’s history only made sense to the restaurant’s owner, Jessica Most, who has lifelong roots in the town, according to Petrich.

“We have always wanted to open a pizzeria in our hometown. The owners have raised their three children here and Bayville means a lot to all of us,” he said.
Pies Place’s display case can hold as many as 24 different pizzas at one time. The restaurant's menu also includes soups, salads, subs and pasta.
Pies Place is housed in the same building as Taste Bowls, a smoothie and fruit bowl restaurant that opened earlier this week.
To celebrate its first official weekend in business, Pies Place is offering one free plain slice of pizza to each customer on Saturday between 1-3 p.m.
Pies Place, located at 517 Atlantic City Blvd in Bayville, is open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day.
