Some Ocean County Parks Trails Will Be Closed Due To Hunting

Trails in Wells Mills County Park and Freedom Fields County Park will be closed all week.

OCEAN COUNTY, NJ - Residents may hear shots or encounter hunters next week near Natural Lands Trust Properties through the county, according to the Ocean County Parks and Recreation Department's Facebook page.

Deer hunting shotgun season starts on Monday, Dec. 4 and will run through Saturday, Dec. 9.

Trails will be closed in Wells Mills County Park in Waretown and Freedom Fields County Park in Little Egg Township during this period due to their close proximity to approved hunting areas.
