Vehicle Strikes Utility Pole Off Route 9 Near Serpentine Drive
The accident is still under investigation, police chief says.
BERKELEY TOWNSHIP - Berkeley police are investigating a recent accident that occurred when a vehicle ran off the roadway on Route 9 and Serpentine Drive and struck a utility pole, Police Chief Karin T. DiMichele said.
Police responded to the scene on Dec. 4 on a report of a motor vehicle crash.
"The pole became a hazard due to its supporting power lines," the chief said.

Traffic was diverted to Floral Drive until repairs could be made.
The accident is under investigation by Patrolman Ed Hendrickson of the Berkeley Township Traffic Safety Bureau. Anyone with information, please call 732-341-1132, ext. 2125.
