22-Year-Old Long Island Man Fatally Struck By SUV

Police say he was trying to cross an expressway on foot early Saturday.

BETHPAGE, NY – A 22-year-old man was struck and killed by an SUV as he was trying to cross the Seaford Oyster Bay Expressway on foot early Saturday.

According to Nassau Police, Christopher Brown was attempting to cross the southbound lanes of the expressway near Exit 7– Hempstead Turnpike when he was struck by a 2004 Toyota 4Runner at 3:45 a.m.

Brown, of Farmingdale, suffered multiple trauma injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver remained at scene. No criminal charges have been filed.
