FARMINGDALE, NY — Great Wall Kitchen of Farmingdale reopened Thursday, months after a drunken driving crash badly damaged the Chinese restaurant, the eatery announced on Facebook.

Great Wall Kitchen, at 47-4 Boundary Avenue, was "devastated" in a car crash on Jan. 26, said Kevin Chen, whose parents own the restaurant.

Lauren Potter, 39, was driving a 2011 Mercedes Benz north on North Broadway when she left the road and collided with a parked 2018 Toyota, Nassau police said. The unoccupied Toyota went through the storefront, and the Mercedes Benz followed, police said. Potter was charged with DWI and third-degree assault.

More than $75K was raised for the Chen family on a GoFundMe page following the crash.
