Howitt Students Reenact Roman Courtroom

6th Graders take part in interactive lesson.

Sixth grade social studies students at the Farmingdale School District’s Howitt Middle School recently reenacted and conducted an Ancient Roman court case.

Students participated in the interactive lesson as they took on various roles in the judicial system, and intently studied a real Roman case from legal documents dating back to the Roman Empire.

Students also turned their classroom into a Roman courtroom for the activity.
