Student Art Showcased at Northside

Student entries to the PTA Reflections contest entries will be on display Wednesday night.

will showcase this year’s Reflections contest entries on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the cafeteria. 

"Each year, the National PTA Reflections Program challenges students to create art inspired by a specific theme," said Nancy Wagner, a member of the Northside PTA Reflections Committee. The theme 2011-2012 is "Diversity Means..."

The contest winners will be named on Wednesday and their entries will be sent onto the District/Regional level for further judging.

According to Wagner, hundreds of thousands of students participate in the Reflections program through their local PTAs. The "best-of-the-best" entries receive National Reflections awards. 

Farmingdale , last year earning seven awards in the NY State Art Teachers Association Olympics of the Visual Arts competition.
