LHS Senior Earns Medal At 2024 IHSA Journalism State Finals
Lemont has advanced qualifiers to the IHSA Journalism State Finals 15 consecutive years dating back to 2009.

Valley View schools competed in two interschool competitions, the Battle of the Books and the Middle School Math Contest.
Frankfort Mayor Keith Ogle and Interim President and CEO of Silver Cross Hospital Michael Mutterer were appointed to the CAC Board.
Garage sales will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day on June 7 and 8, and residents can register with the Village until May 24.
Students from six events finished among the top four in their respective competitions.
The banner dedication and Memorial Day speakers will begin at 10 a.m. at the City Hall flag pole, 222 E. Ninth St.
Six students, from both Bolingbrook and Romeoville HS, competed in the state finals.
The May 15 and May 22 community forums will begin at 7 p.m. and will be held in the District 210 Board Room.
Construction on the parking lots is expected to be completed by June 1.
There will also be a chance of rain and storms at the end of the week.
Park Parties are planned in Romeoville each month through September.
The sheriff's office outlined previous police calls made to the home where they say a woman was shot by her neighbor this week.
Officers will support the fundraiser again this year, from 5 a.m. to noon on May 17, at the Dunkin' at 15629 127th St., and 13604 Archer Ave
The Summer Festival will be held at the farm Friday through Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., starting June 14.
This closure will last through Oct. 24.
The Village will host a public works open house from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on May 18.
Temperatures will gradually warm through the weekend, with a high of 70 on Saturday and a high of 79 on Sunday.
The Village is able to acquire the property for $800,000.
Community members and Chamber members are both welcome at the event.
