Police say the crash happened early Friday morning in the area of Western Avenue and Artesia Boulevard.
A video showing a Gardena man helping stop a passenger yelling obscenities and threatening passengers recently went viral.
"You want trouble? You found it," the man with the knife can be heard telling at least two people on the pier in the video.
Drivers can expect delays of up to 5 minutes, according to SigAlert.
Police described the crash as an intentional and "violent assault."
The suspects are accused of fatally shooting a man in the 1300 block of S. Long Beach Boulevard on Tuesday night.

It's unclear at this time when construction will start, and there are still multiple phases to get through, according to city officials.
The city currently uses radar feedback cameras to combat speeding, but officials may soon consider stronger enforcement efforts.
