Palos Verdes Estates May Be Latest South Bay City Targeted By Organized Crime Group

Police say a resident found a type of hidden camera, often used by an organized crime group to case homes, in his front yard.

A source told the Long Beach Watchdog that the canine was protecting its owner and others when it was stabbed Saturday morning.
Federal prosecutors say the 30-year-old man injured at least one officer during a protest in Paramount on June 7.
"It's not your normal garage style shop, it's high-end," an owner of the new South Bay Tint World told Patch. "It's a one-stop shop."
"He passed away peacefully and was surrounded by family," a family rep told PEOPLE.
The shooting happened around 8:36 p.m. Wednesday near where the Compton Creek meets the Long Beach (710) Freeway, according to police.
Police say the crash happened just after 6 p.m. Wednesday in the area of Pacific Place and Wardlow Road.
Henry Lozano, 76, was last seen driving away from his Long Beach home Wednesday night, according to police.
"Rancho Palos Verdes has incredible scenery and a strong sense of community; it just felt like the right move for us," an official said.
"When it comes to flavor, freshness, and chargrilled quality, Habit delivers," one restaurant official said.
Salagi Iakopo, 32, pleaded guilty Wednesday to one federal count of interference with commerce by robbery.
Since July, there has been a plethora of Teslas with paper license plates clogging up Signal Hill streets, SFGate reported.
Police say nobody was injured in the shooting, but one of the men was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.
Police say the man is suspected of several home burglaries in the South Bay's beach cities.
The shooting happened around 3:32 p.m. Tuesday in the city of Carson, according to authorities.

The woman was arrested on Monday following a traffic stop in San Pedro, according to authorities.
The survey is meant to help California officials plan for a more sustainable future.

The fire broke out around 1 a.m. Tuesday in the 2300 block of East 17th Street, authorities said.
